Greetings everyone, this is Keola and mahalo for listening to the Nahenahe.net podcast #45. Today is Sunday, September 10, 2006.
This is a very special podcast for the release of Kenneth Makuakane’s first solo CD under his name alone. Kenneth has produced over 100 CDs by other singers and groups, but this is his first release like this. I worked with him from the very beginning of the project. There are 20 songs on the CD, and Kenneth and I co-composed 16 of them. One Hawaiian song was composed by my friend Liana Honda, Kenneth composed two songs in English, and he and his wife composed the one instrumental song. This podcast is going to be a bit different than others, I am going to interview Kenneth in English and include it in the podcast. I will also be playing some music from the CD in the podcast.
