[Hau'ula picture] Hau'ula has been one of Maui's premier bands for the past 20 years, and have been performing at the luxurious Maui Prince Hotel in Makena since 1987. They are also in high demand in Japan, and travel there to perform at least once each year at the Oiso Prince Hotel and other locations throughout Japan. They perform with a hula show every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6-7:00 PM, and from 7-10:30 pm each evening doing all of your island and contemporary favorites. They also perform during the Prince Hotel's Award Winning Sunday brunch from 9:30 am-1:30 pm.

Hau'ula is renouned in the state for their harmonies and instrumental versatilty. Both of their current CD releases showcase the band's talents in a number of musical styles.

Album: A Happy Family (2003)
Notes: This release features a lot of originals, some collaborations with Keli'i Tau'a, including a unique mix of Hawaiian and Japanese.

Album: Na Mele 'Ohana
Notes: Na Mele 'Ohana ("Family Songs") was recorded in 1996, and is available in music stores on the Mele 'Ohana Label. It showcases the lead vocal ability of all three members of the group, as well as their talents as instrumentalists and arrangers. Many of the songs have a jazzy feel to them that breathes new life into old favorites.
